These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ThunderHooks ("Service"), operated by ThunderHooks ("we", "our", or "us").

By accessing or using ThunderHooks, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

ThunderHooks provides a comprehensive webhook management and monitoring platform for software developers. The Service allows you to:

  • Webhook Capture: Receive webhooks at permanent, dedicated URLs for inspection and processing
  • Webhook Inspection: View and analyze webhook payloads, headers, query parameters, and metadata in real time
  • Webhook Replay: Replay previously received webhooks to specified target URLs, with the ability to edit payloads before resending
  • Webhook Relay: Configure automatic forwarding rules that relay incoming webhooks to one or more destinations, with support for filters, transformations, and configurable retries
  • Response Mocking: Define custom mock responses for your webhook endpoints to simulate upstream behavior during testing and development
  • Outbound Webhook Delivery: Send webhooks to your customers or downstream systems with HMAC-SHA256 signing, automatic retries, circuit breakers, and dead letter queues
  • Uptime Monitoring: Monitor the availability of your endpoints with periodic health checks and receive alerts via email or webhook when downtime is detected
  • Heartbeat Monitoring: Dead man's switch monitoring for cron jobs and scheduled tasks, alerting you when expected pings fail to arrive within a defined window
  • API Testing: Run synthetic API tests with configurable assertions to validate endpoint behavior, response codes, headers, and payloads
  • Public Status Pages: Create publicly accessible status pages that display the real-time health of your monitored services
  • Customer Portal: Embed a customer-facing portal that allows your end users to manage their webhook endpoints and view delivery history

2. Account Registration

To use ThunderHooks, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use ThunderHooks to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Abuse, harass, or harm others
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Interfere with the Service's operation
  • Use the Service for illegal data collection
  • Circumvent usage limits or billing

Webhook Content

You are solely responsible for the content of webhooks you receive, replay, relay, and send via outbound delivery. We do not monitor webhook content but may remove content that violates these Terms.

4. Service Plans and Billing

Free Tier

  • 3 endpoints
  • 100 credits per month
  • 1,000 outbound events per month
  • 7-day history retention
  • Paid plans start at $29/month and are billed monthly via Lemon Squeezy
  • Visit our pricing page for full details on plan features, credit allocations, and limits
  • Credits reset monthly on your billing anniversary

Refunds

  • Subscription fees are non-refundable
  • Unused credit packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase

Plan Changes

  • Upgrades take effect immediately
  • Downgrades take effect at next billing cycle

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of ThunderHooks is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Your Data

  • You retain ownership of webhook data you receive and send
  • We process data only to provide the Service
  • Data is retained according to your plan's retention period

6. Intellectual Property

Our Property

ThunderHooks, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service.

Your Content

You retain rights to your webhook data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the Service.

7. API and Rate Limits

  • API access is subject to rate limits as documented
  • Excessive requests may be throttled or blocked
  • Programmatic abuse will result in account termination

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform maintenance with or without notice
  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Experience downtime due to factors beyond our control

We target high availability but do not guarantee specific uptime percentages. Service credits may be offered at our discretion for extended outages.

9. Outbound Webhook Delivery

The following additional terms apply to the outbound webhook delivery feature:

  • You are solely responsible for the content of webhooks you send to your customers or downstream systems via the outbound delivery feature
  • ThunderHooks signs outbound webhooks with HMAC-SHA256 to allow recipients to verify authenticity, but we do not validate or inspect the content of outbound payloads
  • Circuit breakers may automatically disable delivery to endpoints that consistently fail to respond or return error status codes. You may re-enable such endpoints from your dashboard once the underlying issue is resolved
  • Dead letter messages (undeliverable webhooks) are retained in accordance with your plan's retention period, after which they are permanently deleted

10. Customer Portal

The following additional terms apply to the embeddable customer portal feature:

  • Portal access tokens grant limited, scoped access to endpoint management and delivery history
  • You are responsible for how you generate, distribute, and revoke portal URLs and tokens
  • Portal tokens should be treated as sensitive credentials; sharing a portal URL grants the recipient access to the associated endpoint data
  • We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from improper distribution of portal tokens

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO FEES PAID IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, etc.).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThunderHooks from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of third-party rights

13. Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time via Settings. Data will be deleted within 30 days.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Extended inactivity (12+ months on free tier)
  • Legal requirements

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.

Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, contact us at connect@munyala.pro to attempt informal resolution.

Arbitration

Disputes not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or service notification at least 30 days in advance.

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you must stop using the Service.

16. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the complete agreement between you and ThunderHooks
  • Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce a right does not waive it
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in a business transfer
